We take great pride in serving the military and veterans who defend our freedom. Through volunteerism, employee giving and charitable donations, we stand in support of our veterans, service members and their families.
Partners providing services and programs for military and veterans include:
USO
USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service. We support USO locations all across the country through volunteerism, charitable giving and employee giving.
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
TAPS provides resources and support to those who lost loved ones in the military. This includes peer-based emotional support, community-based care, a 24/7 national military survivor helpline and more. Northrop Grumman is proud to partner with TAPS and sponsor their National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp held annually in Washington, D.C.
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC)
Since 2013, we have funded over 40 projects that have resulted in 3,500 units of affordable housing of which 2,000 units were targeted for veterans.
American Corporate Partners (ACP)
Northrop Grumman has been a proud partner of ACP since 2013. ACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping post-9/11 veterans and spouses of service members find their next careers through one-on-one mentoring, networking and online career advice. Northrop Grumman leaders volunteer to serve as mentors to U.S. veterans and provide career development guidance and networking opportunities.
Soldier On
Our outreach goes beyond the United States and into global communities where our employees work and live. Partnerships with organizations such as Soldier On, a veterans service organization based in Australia, provides veteran programming in health and well-being, psychological services, education, employment and social connections.
Operation Injured Military Pursuing Assisted Career Transition (Operation IMPACT)
Operation IMPACT is a unique and award-winning program within Northrop Grumman focused on assisting severely wounded service members as they transition from the military to a private-sector career. Service members unable to work due to the severity of their injuries can transfer this support to members of their immediate family seeking employment. A dedicated team provides program management, personalized placement assistance, community outreach and workplace accommodations for severely injured service members transitioning to civilian employment. The program has expanded to include a Network of Champions, providing additional resources for the placement of candidates with more than 100 companies.
Operation Homefront
Operation Homefront serves tens of thousands of military families each year with critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing, and family support services that help prevent short-term needs from turning into chronic, long-term struggles.
Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America seeks to remember and honor our veterans by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at numerous cemeteries across the country. Since 2018, Northrop Grumman employees have shown respect for fallen veterans by volunteering at events and donating 17,000 wreaths.
