George is a senior principal engineer at Northrop Grumman. Previously a U.S. Air Force fire protection specialist, George is now responsible for regulatory air quality compliance with the Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District, California Air Resource Board, as well as the environmental protection rules and regulations in Palmdale.
How long have you been with Northrop Grumman? How did you hear about us?
I have been with Northrop Grumman for over 11 years. I first heard about the organization in 2009 when an environmental manager who worked for the company contacted me about working here.
What is your military background?
I was with the U.S. Air Force as a fire protection specialist and was stationed at Royal Air Force Bentwaters and Royal Air Force Woodbridge in Great Britain.
How did your military background set you up for the role you are in now?
With my military experience, I developed problem-solving skillsets and learned how to be a team player.
What was your experience transitioning into Northrop Grumman as a veteran?
Transitioning from active duty to a career in the private sector was seamless. Northrop Grumman is a team-oriented company that provides opportunity for growth, much similar to that of the military.
What do you hope to gain from your new role?
In my new role, I hope to build lasting relationships with the people I work with.
What advice would you give to other veterans interested in a career in Northrop Grumman?
