Northrop Grumman (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Northrop Grumman”) respects your concerns about privacy.  This Privacy Notice describes the information practices of Northrop Grumman with regard to the processing of your personal information to manage your newsletter subscription request.  It also describes the types of information we maintain, how we may use the information, how we secure it, with whom we may share it and the choices and rights available to you regarding our use of the information.

Information We Share

We do not disclose personal information about you, except as described in this Privacy Notice. 

We share personal information with third parties who perform services on our behalf based on our instructions to support the performance of the above purposes. We use the Mail Chimp platform to collect your personal information and record your consent.

If you consent to Email, then we will process your newsletter subscription request to receive information directly from Northrop Grumman.

If you consent to Customized Online Advertising, we share your personal information with digital marketing company, dentsu McGarryBowen. Digital ads are presented to users whose login email address to social networks and Gmail accounts match the email provided at sign up for the Northrop Grumman newsletter. Customized ads are then presented to users when they log into their social network accounts, log into their Gmail accounts, or browse using Google Chrome.

We may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) to law enforcement authorities or other government entities, and (iii) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual criminal offenses.  We also may transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).

Your Rights

Data Transfers

If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your consent authorizes Northrop Grumman to transfer your personal information to countries outside of the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland that have not been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection and may not offer the same level of data protection as the laws of your own country.

How We Protect Your Information

We maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.  We also require our service providers with whom we share your personal information (see the “Information We Share” section above) to do the same.

Data Retention

Your personal information will be retained as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described above in “How We Use The Information We Maintain”. It will typically be retained for the duration of your subscription until your consent is withdrawn, unless we (or our service provider(s)) have to retain the information for a longer period to be able to run regular blocking/deletion routines, to take into account the applicable statute of limitation period, or to comply with a legal retention obligation.

This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our privacy and data protection practices.
