ECHO Community Outreach Fund Guidelines
ECHO Community Outreach Funds are special funds in select communities with large employee populations.
ECHO Community Outreach Funds are special funds in select communities with large employee populations. ECHO accepts grant requests from local nonprofits to meet critical needs in these communities. Led by employee volunteers, a committee from each community reviews and awards grants based on available funds. Employees can select to allocate some or all of their ECHO funding to a local outreach fund, which in turn is pooled with other employees’ funding.
To be considered for an ECHO grant, the organization must be registered as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with the IRS and make their services available to all without prejudice. Applications will only be accepted once in any 12-month period.
ECHO does not fund these types of requests:
- General operating costs
- Memberships
- Multiyear commitments
- Fundraising events
- School-sponsored athletic events or athletic organizations
- School-affiliated events including, but not limited to, orchestras, drill teams, drama groups, clubs
- Grant-making organizations
- Memorials, endowments, foundations, capital campaigns
- Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine
Requests should be submitted using the applicable invitation code below to one of our Community Outreach Funds in your local area. At this time, we are unable to consider requests from areas that do not have a Community Outreach Fund.
